Default Spare Tire Question

I purchased new 15 wheels and tires. I also have a new 15" wheel and tire for the spare. I was not sure it would fit. But it seems to fit just fine. My old spare was 15 years old and not the same size so I did decide to get the new spare. After that many years it showed some rub marks but no gouges or wear. My new tire and rim are even tighter that the old. I do not foresee this as a problem. Does anyone think there is a drawback to this tight fit? I have read about adjusting the spare holder, but it really doesn't look like I need to do that.
