Lightbulb Replacing (repairing) Fresh Water Tank

Had a leak in the fresh water tank allowing seepage on to the floor about two years ago I could not find the source so I took it to the RV dealer that now sells TrailManors repaired in 30 minutes he did not indicate what the problem was and repaired it for no charge.

Fast forward to this fall and similar situation, no problem just use city water connection.

Once again could not find the source (man vision). I figured let's just buy a whole new tank. Order through aforementioned RV dealer from TrailManor (allegedly) and I receive a tank delivered to my home.

I begin to remove the tank here is a tip:

Mark which color wire with a sharpie for re-installation see pic.

Upshot- I received the wrong tank, correct size, but connections on wrong side see pic of new tank on old tank.

Result: the drain was completely gone. The hose and outside valve gone and the tank worked it's way out of the retainers on the floor.

Solution: attach drain tubing, using clamps with valve and mount a bracket on the bench seat to prevent the tank from repositioning in the future. I also added clamps to all other tubing that did not have clamps and repositioned clamps for future removal.

What to do with the tank that they ordered wrong? My plan is to to take it back to the dealer and show the pictures and ask for a refund.

Any thoughts?

Default

Update:
Dealer called and asked about the tank as they were going to charge my card. I explained the situation (wiring, inlets and outlets on the wrong facet).

Dealer said "no problem we won't charge the card." I brought the tank back to them and they will deal with TM.

All better now.
