Default Fresh water tank size?

Does anyone know what size the fresh water tank is on the 2000 2720SL? I thought it was 11 gallon. However, just for the heck, of it I drained it into my 27 gallon grey tote. It was nearly full. Thanks, Nancy

Correct, 20 gallons. I believe the manual states they are 11 or something gallons, but that is incorrect, at least for mine.

My '98 is a "20G" tank but I've put nearly 23 gallons in it before.

BTW - of course, you can always measure the tank's dimensions to calculate its volume. That way you'll know exactly.

Dave -

I did that on my 2002 2720SL, and it came out 20 gallons on almost on the nose. Wish I could find the post, but looks like it's gone, or buried in the archives somewhere.

At some point in the TM history, the water tank was, in fact, only 11 gallons, and that number still pops up now and again. But that was quite a while ago, and it may have been only in certain models (like the 2720SL) where space was tight.

Thanks, Dave -

While you were posting, I finally located the original - way back in 2002. What goes around comes around, I guess.

I didn't drain my water heater. Unless it drains automatically.
