Default 2720SL Toilet vs. Other RV's

Hello,
I'm selling my 2720SL. I never had a toilet in previous trailers and never used the one in the TM. A prospective buyer asked how a TM toilet differs from other RV's.
I wouldn't think they do, but could not address the question.

Are there any differences?

thanks a lot. carl

Simply put, a regular "RV" toilet works like a toilet in your home if you have a septic system. There is a small amount of water in the bowl, you do your business, then flush using either water from hook-ups or your fresh water tank and the flushed material goes into an underfloor "Black Tank", to be emptied later.

A TM "recirculating" toilet has no water connection, nor underfloor "Black-Tank" You start by filling the toilet with about 2/3 gallons of fresh water, (usually filled using the handy shower head) Then with each flush the waste goes into the toilet itself, separating the solids from the liquids, which is "recirculated" with every flush. They work very similarly to airline toilets.

Both systems use a "dump station" to empty the contents of the holding tank.

The volumes are also different, a regular RV "Black-Tank" can hold up to 20 or 30 gallons. The TM recirculating tank is only about 6 or 7 gallons.

I and some others have installed a RV toilet with small black tank under the toilet in the Trailmanor.

Anything you can share about adding the black tank? Actually thought about using a portable cassette below the toilet on the ground. This could then be brought to the dump station very easily.
