Default My favorite piece of yellow pine...

I am using a piece of yellow pine wood to assist in both the opening and the
closing of our 2720. It is a 1" x 4" x 6'.

I attached a piece of do-it-all metal to one end of the wood with a 1/4" bolt.
The functionality is shown in the pic, as the metal grabs the latching handle,
and the pulling open of the latch can be done from a more comfortable position.

The wood also fits easily into the closing stirrup, as shown in the pic, but I
will offer that without an explanation or suggestion.

Happy Camping!

Did you install the door grab bar?

Default Right, it's a Camco 42197 (short)

and it works good as a back-up to make sure the door does not open en route.
It is also good for a slight assist when going in and out.

However, it is made of light plastic, and will break if anybody attempts an acrobatic
maneuver with it.

Recommended, with constraints known and applied.
