Lightbulb septic hose storage

after reviewing a number of great ideas posted,i decided to experiment with a simple approach...
i manipulated a clothes hanger into the shape of the letter "L" and fastened it with large hose clamps to the main drain pvc pipe as it exits the tm and just before the valves...the sewer hose mounts onto the hanger and now is allowed to air dry on the way home...to prevent it from sliding or blowing off,i curled the end of the hanger...
the experiment has worked out fine now for several trips...i'll try and get some photos soon....

Default Septic Hose

Sounds like a good idea to me, a picture is worth a thousand words. I have been musing over what to do with the septic hose ever since I bought my TM 3023. Would like to see a picture.

Default Previous thread about sewer hose storage

We had an extensive discussion about sewer hose storage last spring. You can find it at:

Some of the photos were deleted when Chris created this new site. I reloaded the photo of my hose container however.

Bill,
I was browsing (read lurking) on a 5er board the other day and came across a thread where an owner had used a 5 inch square plastic fence post for his hose container. He used the plastic post caps to close the container and hung it with pipe straps. Another person used a length of pipe strap through the ends so the hose could air out and dry.

Default Septic hose storage

Just finished installing a PVC pipe between the rear levelers and the rear plastic bumper using the space where the rear torsion bars pass thru the frame. On each side I used two 2"bolts w/nuts & lock washers, two pieces of 1/4x1x4" flat aluminum(with 2 holes), and 2 ea 4" hose clamps which hang between the frames and the lower flat aluminum pieces. Instead of the Sched.40 pipe, I opted for the lighter sched.30 pipe. The whole project cost me about $15 at Lowes.
I copied this method from other TM owners while attending the October Rally at Carlsbad. I intend to drill some holes in the pipe to allow drainage.
