Default Electric brake adjustment

Ok, I got my new electric brakes and hubs all installed, these are the never adjust brakes dexter brand. What is the initial adjustment ? I tightened the adjuster to where I can get one revolution out of the tire when giving it a push with my hand while jacked up. However when I took it out for a road test it seems like they are not braking enough/ any thoughts or a different way to first adjust them.
