Default Water Heater won't start

I have a 2007 3124 KS with auto start water heater. 2 camp trips ago the water heater stopped igniting. I dropped it off at a Suburban authorized dealer since it was still under warranty. Got it back and checked it out and it started okay. Went camping and it worked the 1st night but not after. No electricity available so couldn't use electric either. Called the RV service center and explained the problem. They had changed out the thermocouple before it wasn't getting gas. Now it's getting gas, the little indicator light comes on and I hear a series of clicks. Then the clicks stop and after maybe 20 seconds I hear them again. They say it sounds like a bad electrode. They send me the part because its a 95 mile drive one way to the RV Service. Simple replacement. I got the part today and just replaced it. Now the little indicator light doesn't come on and I don't hear the little clicks

Anybody have similar problems and know what fixed the problem? Any suggestions? I was suppose to leave on a long trip to Alaska next week!!!

Also the manual says not to light the unit manually, is that possible in a pinch if you turn the heater off after it heats the water compartment?

Are you trying it while plugged in?

You stated, "No electricity available so couldn't use electric either". That makes me a little suspicious about your battery state. If the heater is not getting 12+ volts, it will not light. If the battery is low it may drop below 12v before the heater lights. It will make the clicking noise from the igniter but the gas valve will not open if it's not getting 12v.

Now that you've made a part replacement and are getting no sign of power, you may want to check the fuse.

Default Figured it out

There is a plastic cover for a circuit board that must control the power to the igniter. There is a lead from that circuit board that goes to the igniter. It looks like the circuit board was screwed to the wall of the bathroom and attached with a thick double sided tape. Some how that board has come disconnected and the lead wire pulled out. The circuit board was making that clicking sound. When I reattached the lead wire the water heater started right up. I don't know how I can reattached the board and cover to the wall there isn't any room to do so. Right now I have just stuffed it between the water tank insulation and the wall, its a pretty snug fit.
