Default Smart TV. Yes or No?

We're considering getting a TV for our TM. I actually bought a Vizio Smart TV but returned it because the interface seemed unreliable. It needed some level of reprogramming every time it was turned on. Has anyone had a positive experience with a Smart TV? Which one? We will not use it to watch network TV, just Netflix and Amazon, etc. We have considered getting a non-smart TV and using it with an Apple TV or Roku or something like that.

Your experiences or thoughts?

Paul
