Default Bobby is sooo lucky

I did buy the Muffin Man and I got the 2 egg model because there really is not that much difference in size.

I used some of my points and so I am out no cash and 2 day shipping is free.

Hey Dave

We have smoked meat in the Cobb grill. When we use the large charcoal disks made for it the charcoal lasts longer and toward the end we sometimes add a few regular briquettes. We have a small cast iron smoke pot that we put the wood chips in.

Well, I would rather owe ya than cheat you out of it.

The kind of english muffins you choose, make a lot of difference in taste. Wonder Bread muffins are about just like Mickey D's both in taste and texture. I prefer Pepperidge Farms wheat muffins. It depends on where you buy your groceries, as to what brands you can get. You can always experiment around with all the ingredients (muffins, meat, cheese, eggs)

The Muffin Man device is intriguing. I remember seeing them in the SkyMall catalog on planes. But since I usually dry camp with no genny, I can't use it. But upon browsing Amazon a bit, I came across these "poach pods":

Nifty. I can poach eggs just fine in water & vinegar, but the egg is more of a ball shape, which, while perfect for eggs benedict, is not desired for an egg sandwich. I may have to try these things -- seems like they have good reviews.

Hey thanks so much for the offer! I would take you up on it had I just ordered that set from Amazon about an hour ago. I looked at some other versions on Amazon, and they did not have nearly the same share of glowing reviews, and some even compared the Fusion ones specifically as being better.

Time will tell.....

Here is my stove top egg sandwich maker:

Light burner on stove and heat the Wonder skillet.
Lightly oil, grease or butter the skillet.
Crack an egg into the skillet and break the yolk.
Optional - turn the egg when half cooked.
Place cheese slice on one piece of whole wheat sugar free bread.
Place smoked meat slice on second piece of bread.
Remove egg from skillet and place on cheese slice.
Place bread with egg and cheese in skillet - bread side down.
Place smoked meat and bread slice on top of egg - meat side down.
Brown (grill) sandwich on both sides.

We got one of these as a gift and my wife and I immediately thought the same thing..."Oh great, another appliance to store.", but we fell in love with the thing. Used it so much at first we almost wore it out.
We used a few types of meat in it, but eventually settled on Canadian Bacon as the best. We found using filtered water helps reduce the "crud" buildup.

I thought that jiffy pop was what all campers used.

I bought a few pans of them the other day cause I saw them at Target, and still haven't tried a one.
