Default Refrigerator fan

How is the fridge fan mounted? Mine makes a heck of a racket. Upon looking at it, it is not secured in any fashion. It just sits there. When it is powered on, it dances around and makes a lot of noise. I was thinking of just dabbing some type of adhesive under it to make it sit still. Any other thoughts on this?

You are talking about the fan that is on the floor of the compartment, down in a well, aimed down, and with the dryer hose fitted over it, right? In my TM, this fan is not fastened down, but seems to be held loosely in place by the dryer hose and some kind of rather crude sheet-metal spacer that is at the bottom of the well.

I doubt that it makes any difference how you hold it down, as long as it remains more-or-less centered over the screened opening, and the dryer hose fits it reasonably snugly. Given those things, nothing in this area is critical.

You might want to check it thoroughly for debris. It sounds like it may be out of balance. Just the smallest piece of paper or Styrofoam will do that.
