Default bead screen question

Jack,

Did you cut the beads to fit the entire length of the door or only the top half? We just went to a very buggy area (mostly flying bugs)... it was hot, and so we wanted to leave at least the top half of the door open all of the time. I'm just wondering which way would work best. Thanks for sharing your great idea. I hope you can post pictures soon.

Default Hey, I heard that.......

..........someone's looking for a screen picture. Wouldn't you know that Murphy's Law is alive and well. Friday, 6-23-06, I deleted it from my allotment to make room for other pics!

Puttin' it back up now.

Is this a factory item or home made?

Thumbs up Bead, screendoor

Finally, I think this will work.

The beads were cut off just below the bottom half. Any more I think would be to bulky.

We were in Oregon a couple months ago and there were 6 wasps in the TM the 1st hour we had the door open. I decided to make the major step & put up the beads. It worked, we only had two more uninvited guest the next 4 days.

Have fun...........

Default pictures of bead screen

Jack,
Thanks for the pictures and for the great idea. I'm glad it works. We'll have to give it a try. I forgot to mention it before, but I am very glad you are safe from the fire. I hope they get it contained soon. I am an AZ native and have spent a lot of time in Sedona and Oak Creek, when I lived in Flagstaff. It crushes me to see it burning. Maybe we'll run into each other camping sometime.

Thanks again for the pictures.

The colors match your TM nicely. Doesn't the wind blow them around?

Cool Beads

I really don't know if the beads blow or not. A small breeze didn't seem to bother them, I don't remember a heavy wind. ???

The fire is all but out, no homes lost. I understand not many trees burned, the fire laid near the ground. I guess the area had been cleaned up.

SPECIAL NOTE: Almost all of Arizona's forests are closed. I mean really closed, you can't even drive through. I hope no one was planning a trip here.

I'm heading for New Mexico then on into Colorado. I'll be gone about two months.

Later................

Jack

I don't have pics of it but I have the same one as Denny and I also have one that goes from top to bottom. looks just like the one in denny's pic but longer and has weights in the bottom to stop blowing so that you can have both top and bottom doors open.. we like it better than an actual screen door because since its made of strips of screen, the kids can go in and out without slamming the door or pinching fingers. we actually thought of making one like it for the patio at home too... If I can get a pic on here I will.
