Thanks everyone. Trains are no fun. I know that train line in Delta, way too noisy.

I never mind the sound of nature (except that time when we were next to a pond with bull frogs - dont they ever sleep???)

I dislike the sound of campers who think it is a fine idea to come out with their friends and party when they are so close to other people.

I have found the best solution are ear plugs. I tried several different types before I found the ones most comfortable for me.

I like the TM, but I *definitely* hear crickets without the A/C on.

We will find out this weekend if we hear crickets... Headed for Galveston where the Lone Star Motorcycle rally begins today. Tens of thousands or possibly hundreds of thousands of bikes converge on the island. We are towing the TM and carrying our bike to the state park to join the event. Weather has cleared from the torrential rains Wed/Thur with clear skies and temperate climate. Should be a blast and loud....

Last years photo will be updated.

Excellent, have fun. If you can sleep with "open pipes" I'll buy a TM tomorrow!
