I applied a patch that came with my Adco cover (from the TV antenna or one of the vents, I'm not sure), and it has already peeled off. And yes, I rounded the corners on the patch.

The Adco kits are the material type that you order, they have 3 different kinds. I ordered the same type that our trailer cover is made from.

There are so many different places that the cover chafes; leather sounds good, but it's heavy, and retains water, thereby promoting rust at certain points. The Adco patches retain no water and are very light and easier to sew than the leather (plus they are much less expensive). I think my order was less than $15.

If I lived in a dry climate, leather would make sense, but we have wet winters here and fog during the summer, and the TM is prone to rust in some (but not all) of the spots that need reinforcing. The longer we have the cover, the more spots appear with tears and wearing.

Our cover is wonderful, and I think that if we keep patching, it will last another 3 or 4 years. It's nice to wash & scrub the TM, put the cover on, and be able to take it off with a nice, clean TM ready to tow.

I had a rip and talked ADCO about patching. They recommended that the patch be put on clean, dry cover at over 60 degrees, Press and hold for at least 90 seconds. Round the corners on the patch before applying. If the patch starts to come up they recommend Elmers glue to reinforce the bond. The patch can be applied from the back side and front for high wear areas.
If you have more questions call them. They were very clear and patient with answering my questions.

Just noticed that ADCO covers are 25% off at Camping World online, if anyone out there is interested in ordering one.

Will a 12252 fit a 3124kb? Or does it take a 12253?

The 12252 fits our 3023, I don't know about a 3124KB, though. Here is another link to a discussion that I reviewed before I purchased our cover. It might answer your questions! To find this, I searched "adco cover". You could try that also and find even more info.
