Default Interior Lights in Rear Shell Not Working

I have a 2009 3124KB. The interior lights in the rear shell that are controlled by the button under the bathroom wall have stopped working. I have checked the 20 amp fuse that goes with the rear roof lights, and it seems to be fine. My first thought was that it is a problem with the button under the bathroom wall. When I push it down manually or with the bathroom wall, the rear shell lights still don't work. However, when the button is pushed down, it does still power the CO/LP monitor and the water heater ignition switch, which indicates that the button is still working to some degree. All of the other lights in the camper are working fine.

Any ideas on what the issue might be and how to fix it?

Take a look at where the wires go up the lift arm and into the rear shell. They sometimes get pinched, which causes issues.

Grab a jumper wire and bypass the switch from the rear battery area up in the upper right corner. If the lights work, its probably the switch. If not, it is probably the wires previously mentioned.

I had to push my switch button dozens of times before the lights started working. (Dirty contacts)

Then the thin metal switch plate needed to be adjusted for the switch to actually work with the bathroom wall.

Curious as to what you found out.

Thanks for the replies. It appears the issue ended up being a loose wire connector inside the bottom refrigerator vent access panel.

Yeah, those loose connectors in the back fridge compartment will do it every time..
Sorry to sound flippant, but a year or two back, I tinker in that small compartment and ended up pulling a wire off the cap and suddenly some light didn't work. I mentioned to a coworker and he asked what I tinkered with on the camper lately? It made me think and realize how easy it can be to cause a problem; not that you did here. I went back, found the disconnected wire reconnected it. Then resnugged all the caps again. If I'm near wire caps tinkering, I snug them all. Safe, not sorry. Glad you found the problem.

If I’m near wire caps (nuts) on 12V systems while tinkering in the camper, I get rid of the wire cap and use a heat shrink solar connector.

You and me both brother. I hate those wire caps.

I'm really surprised that they are approved in an RV. All the vibration and jarring that a trailer goes through on the road is bound to loosen those things.
