Default Flag mounting?

We go to the desert and would like to mount a flag to our TM, has anyone done this? And where could I mount it without destroying anything? Pictures would help. I have a 04 3124KS.

Thumbs up Flag mounting

Hi We have a 3024 and we fly our small car window flag on a bracket on the left side of the door when the TM is up. The window bracket on the flag's dowel fits right in and has stayed there through some very strong winds. We live in MO and have never camped in a tornado, although the one last weekend came within about 5 miles of where we live. Lots of tree and structural damage, but no deaths or injuries. Pretty miraculous when one sees all of the downed trees and damaged structures. The UMCOR [United Methodist Committee on Relief] group 'camped' out at our church over the weekend as they helped various neighborhoods clean up. Many homes were without power and they fed and 'watered' them also. Good group of volunteers.

I figured out my problem. I took a hitch piece and welded some angle iron to the tops of it and bolted the angles to the frame on the inside and the part that hold the torsion rods on the outside. and with a hitch mount flag pole I can have it in while in camp and if it gets windy I can take it out. And I feel I kept it far enough from the body to keep it from touching it should some wind blow. I have yet to try it out in real world conditions but it seems strong. As a side note I noticed that the bracket that the torsion bar comes trough was bent inwards so my mount straightened it and made it stronger. Yeah, 2 fixes in one.

We have a 2720 and always fly a flag at the campsite. I use a pressure treated 2x12 about 24" long. I screwed down a 2" galvanized pipe flange at one end of the board. Since we almost always need to level the TM side to side, I use the 2x12 on the low side (it will stick out far enough to work on either side and is aft of the awning). A 10" galvanized pipe nipple is screwed into the flange and our 16' retractable flag pole (Harbor Freight) slides right in. The 16' height is enough to fly a 3x5 nylon flag in most conditions above the TM roof, and it dries quickly. I strap the board across the top of the propane tanks for travel.

Another option would be to strap a piece of PVC to the street side back edge of the front shell, where the wires go up. You could use zip ties, or screw into the existing screws. Then before you put the shell up, drop a telescoping flagpole into the PVC sleeve, and you'd be done.

People have done this for wifi booster antennas (search for pics), I see no reason why it couldn't be modified for this purpose.
