Exclamation 2008 lcd tv option

We just picked up our 2008 3124 KB from MCD RV in MA. Awsome camper, we love it. Does any one out there have the lcd tv option? I am having a problem. The tv and radio work, but when I plug in the cable wire on the side of the camper, I don't get cable. I know there's nothing wrong with the cable wiring, because I unpluged it from the back of the radio and hooked it up to a 13 inch tv and got all the channels.

We have it in our 2007 model but I think they're probably the same unit. I think you have to select an 'input' option on the tuner. I'm not positive as we've yet to camp with a cable hook-up. I think the on/off button switches modes...

Good luck

For cable, the little green light is OFF?

Bypass the outside cable connection by hooking directly to your TV input. If that works then the problem is between the outside connection and the inside wall plate. It could be as simple as a bad coax cable or a cable not connected at the wall plate. Dana at MCD is very good at trouble shooting: if all else fails, give him a call.

OOOPS! I should have read your original post more carefully . . . you have already bypassed the outside cable connection. I would suspect a problem with the connection between the radio and LCD. It could be hardware or a setting.

Default '08 Fahrenheit Radio

We have an '08 3326 and there is no cable tuner in the Fahrenheit Radio and therefore no way to receive cable on the factory installed LCD (confirmed by the factory). If you want cable in any model w/the LCD DVD/CD/FM/AM unit, you'll need to purchase a separate TV with a cable tuner--something we didn't realize when we purchased the option.

What we are having a problem w/is AM-FM radio reception. AM radio reception is totally non-existent and FM is of very poor quality. Radio was returned to the factory and pronounced ok. Dealer installed small AM antenna on outside of rear shell, but reception still is poor. We'll be asking them to install a fold-down auto antenna on our next visit. Anyone else have this issue? Pre-amplier on or off makes no difference in reception quality. TV antenna reception is excellent if there's a station within 25 miles or so.
