Default Trailmanor 2922 Definitive Length

Hi All,

First time posting here.

We have a garage that is exactly 19'9" from drywall to door, and we need a Trailmanor because we're HOA/Deed restricted.

We REALLY want a King bed, but we've been looking exclusively for 2720's because the swing hitch would get us down to just over 18' closed and swung and all the larger models appeared to be too long to fit.

But I just got off the phone with a dealer in Colorado with a 2922 who physically broke out the tape measure and came back with the definitive number: 19 feet 10.5 inches long closed and swung.

That would mean I'm only two inches short and I'm willing to look at drywall & even stud modification in order to get my King bed.

The height of my garage door is 7 feet and these have a height of 79.5" closed, which I sincerely hope includes the height of the roof mounted air conditioner.

Can anyone confirm these numbers? Previous postings on this have mostly included factory specs of 22' and 20' closed and swung.

I just saw this but I see your dilemma. It doesn't show the A/C as standard equipment but it shows the "Low Profile" A/C as an option. Pretty puzzling and worth calling the factory.

Can't confirm the measurements... But let's talk about the bed.

I purchased a NTM 2006 2720 with a "Queen" bed. DW and I normally sleep on a CA King bed at home. Now a STD King is 80" Long x 76" Wide. My CA King is 84" long x 72" Wide.
According to the TM website, their "Queen Sized" rear bed is 78" Long and 60" Wide...
But the truth is that DW and I feel like its MUCH BIGGER.

There is at LEAST two or three inches at both the head and the foot that extends past the matress, and although the closet and rear bathroom wall butt up against the edge of the front of the bed, there seems to be a few inches along the back wall as well.

We've slept in queen beds in motels and our bed in the TM seems to be bigger. (I will have to actually measure it the next time we're out. So don't dismiss a good TM just becasuse of the bed size.

Remember, you are going to only sleep on it for a few nights a year, garages are forever! LOL

Kory

I can tell you this, My 2005 2720SL (with 15" wheels) was 79.5" with the old Coleman Mach5 heat pump A/C unit (which is pretty tall). My garage door opening was 84" and I had plenty of clearance. Then, I added a 2.5" lift kit and I made it through with just over an inch to spare. I don't believe that the shell or body height has changed over the years so my bet is that 79.5" includes the standard A/C unit. The "Low Profile" A/C would certainly clear your 7' opening.

These pics show the difference in the height of the A/C units. I think that the low profile is about 4" lower.

Welp, here's the definitive answer, at least for brand new models:

The factory just confirmed over the phone for me that they are EXACTLY 20' and no inches when closed and swung.

They did indicate that older models might have slight variances and that removing the storage bumper and installing a "bumper tube" might get it below 20 feet.

They also confirmed that even the tallest AC units will fit under an 84" garage door height when closed.

Haha you've been great, Shane. Thanks to you all for all the help. Still hoping to find a 2922 owner who has been in a similar situation... :-)
