When the trailer is hooked up, it takes more pressure for the TV to stop consequently causing the brakes needing more pressure to stop. I did not hear this noise when not pulling the TM, but I am sure that is where it is coming from when I pull the TM. I am taking the Isuzu in for rear brake work, Thursday. I think I will buy an extra brake assembly. Found them on Ebay for $24. I also plan on buying extra set of wheel bearings. Any info about the wheel bearings size would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for everyone's help.

BTW we made it to bridge and came in in the middle. There are some great bridge players in Sun City, California. John
I had the same problem on my tv that I bought used. My problem was the shoes. I don't think they were broken correctly. new high quality shoes d and ruffing up the drum for better breaking in the new shoes solved the problem

Took the TV in yesterday and they replace the front brakes. Not the TM after all. Problem with getting old and cant hear. Anyway back to normal> Mechanic said it was just starting to rub, metal to metal, and no damage at all. Great when you luck out and find an honest mechanic when so far from home. I am very skeptical of repair shops. When I get home, I plan or replacing brakes with self adjusting. Thanks for all your help. You guys are great. John

I just inspected my brakes today on my 15 year old Trailmanor. Pads still had a solid 1/8" left on the them and are all worn evenly. Going to wait until they get down to about 1/16" and I will replace the whole assembly with self-adjusting brakes.

In my experience, it isn't the brake shoe that make me do a brake job on the TM, but rather the magnet. The magnet is something like $15 or so, but if you replace the magnet, you really want to resurface the face of the drum that contacts the magnet. But most shops don't do that, and so I end up replacing the drum. And if I replace the drum, I want to replace the shoes. Sigh.

It's really not that big a deal though. I do all the labor myself, and so it's only parts, somewhere on the order of $100-$150 per side every 4-5 years.
