I used a Sawzall with a fine tooth hacksaw blade to cut the welds.

Here is a pic of what the kit looks like if you want to make your own. The 5/8 holes are a little off center. The other pic are the directions I used.

i used a wire feed welder to tack the tube to the frame and the axle to the tube.

We used 2" receiver tubing. I followed Harvey's instructions. We did not have weld. Longer grade 8 bolts.

To anyone reading this thread... if you're going to make your own lift kit, check your bolt spacing before drilling any holes in the tubing you get. Mine were not spaced 8" as it says elsewhere in this thread, but 9" apart. All other instructions were spot on and very helpful.

Matt- Makes sense that the 3500lb vs 5000lb axles and Dexter vs Lippert axles would have different bolt spacing. Thanks for the heads up!
