Default New Leveling Jacks

I don't know if this has been discussed in awhile but the leveling jacks that come on the TM (at least the ones that I've had) have a hole for your lifting tool to go into. I find those difficult to use (I have arthritis in my wrists).

I use a 1/2" 20V cordless drill to level my trailer and sometimes it's awkward to get the "hook" into the hole in the leveler screw. I like the leveler that have a 3/4" bolt head on the end so that I can use a 3/4" socket on my electric drill. It is so much faster and easier.

Anyway, I found these jacks on Amazon for around $125 (set of 4). They are more HD than the stock, they lift higher and they use the original holes. I replaced all 4 jacks in 30 minutes.

Just thought that I would share a cool find.

Nice, I replaced mine shortly after getting my rig. The originals just kept jamming even after lubing them. They're pricier than when I bought them. I use a 12" extension with a universal swivel at the end. Love it, less bending over and easy to raise and lower.

Wayne - thanks for pointing these out. Timely as I’ve been thinking of replacing mine as they too have become challenging to operate. Cleaning and lubing helps for a short time, but that’s it.

Kidraz - did you have to drill new holes with the BAL units, or did they match up? I like that they are made domestically, and I have some other BAL stuff that I find to be of good quality.

Dave, we almost had to redrill new holes, but did not. My friend and I realized the upper arms fit into the original mount brackets perfectly. So, we just removed the two top attaching bolts of the upper arms, and slipped the new ones in. The only difficulty was making sure the arm ridges/knurls were aligned correctly to allow them to move up and down properly.
The arms were the same width, so what ever you get, measure the upper attaching arms on the new and old levelers. If they are the same width, you should be able to get by without redrilling.

Fabulous, thanks, Kidkraz, very helpful! Just ordered a open-box pair to try out.
