Default Bathroom sink hot water issue

When I turn on the hot water in the bathroom sink it spits a lot like air in the line. The cold runs fine and hot in the kitchen & bath is fine. Anyone run into this or have any ideas. This is on a 99 2720SL.

Thanks,
Rolph

If the hot water valve wasn't opened when you filled the hot water tank, it probably does have air in it. So will the bathtub. It should quit spitting after a few minutes of running in both cases.

you should always bleed all of the air out of the hot water piping before turing on the gas or electric heat or you can damage your system. with the water supply presurized (12v pump on if running on your tank water, or hooked up to site water), open ALL the hot water taps (one at a time is fine) until the air is purged from the system. You should not have to repeat it for the remainer of that trip but at the start of every trip as towing down the road can introduce some air into the system.

There are five places to bleed air from the lines:

1. kitchen sink
2. bathroom sink
3. tub/shower
4. outdoor shower
5. rear drains

I suspect that many people skip the rear drains and perhaps even skip the outdoor shower.

I'm a little over zealous at times. I purge them all when I fill the TM with water at home. When I arrive in camp I start the water heater.
