What do you think about setting up a time to chat once a week?

Would anyone be interested in setting up a time to chat once or twice a week? Preferably in the evenings?

Sounds good to me. Not sure it would work with my web TV.

With the limited number of members we have, perhaps it would be better to agree on a subject to discuss, and hold a chat once a month. This might generate more interest.

Are there any topics any of you would like to discuss?

Please make suggestions.

I would particularly be interested in discussing solar electric and wireless internet, but am open to whatever anybody else wants to talk about.

Has anyone ever chatted with anyone else on this board? Does it work?

Count me out. Like informal small talk IRL (in real life), the strength of internet chat is building interpersonal rapport/community but I find it to be terribly inefficient as a way of passing technical information. I'm simply not a chit-chat conversationalist kind of guy...IRL people tell me that I always throw so much information into what I say that a conversation with me is like drinking from a fire hose. :P So I'll pass on being a chat participant.

The chat room is a good idea especially if it has a topic to discuss. I have used the chat room a couple of times to talk to other TM owners. Count me in!!!

How about having a chat the first Tuesday of every month?

First one would be July 6, next one August 3rd, etc.

How about the first one would be about maintenance issues? If anyone wants to talk about anything else, well, chime in.

How does 4 pm to 8 pm PST sound?

I had a nice chat with Texas Camper tonight, so, I'll try to be there on Tuesday nights from 5:30 or so PST to 7:00 PST on and off when I can be.

Join in, fellow TM'ers! We can talk about whatever you want. Storage, dumb things we've done, how to's, the weather, maintenance, ???
