Default Kitchen Faucet Replacement on TM 2720

I had leaks under the sink and a dripping faucet on my 2008 2720.
Finally determined the leak was coming from the hot and cold water connections on the underside of the faucet connections. So I elected for a new faucet, but was stumped on how to change it out.
The access on the 2720 from underneath is next to impossible. Even if you where a super flexible person with long arms, there are electrical wires between the plumbing and your reach.

So I searched this awesome site and found this old post on installing access ports (After lots of looking and scrolling).

Link here: https://www.trailmanorowners.com/for...kitchen+faucet
(Thanks to wayne-o) for the idea.

I am adding this new thread to offer some additional learnings.

- Cutting access ports was relatively quick and easy.
- Note, you do cut through some wood frame doing this.
- I found the frame to be well laminated to the aluminum siding, thus I don't suspect this will be an issue.
- I used the same saw blade to cut wood plugs for the port covers. I wrapped some black gorilla tape to increase the diameter for a just snug fit.
- My leak was caused by poor condition of the PEX fitting seals. I replaced them with new PEX fitting seals.
- I now have a new faucet (shown in photo), no leaks, and access ports for any future maintenance.

Hi TM crowd. I need to replace my bathroom faucet for the same reasons. Lots of leaks. However I really do not like the idea of cutting access holes. I'm not brave enough or talented enough to complete that task. Has anyone found another way or tool to unscrew the black barrel nuts from under the faucet to remove and replace? I've tried wrenches and colorful adjectives with no luck.

You should be able to access the fittings under the sink. It's not hard, but can be cramped. I replaced the original two knob faucet with one from IKEA. It uses one of the two holes, and I have yet to cover the open hole.

Do you have a basin wrench? Any hardware store.

Thanks for your info. Does the red tubing suggest you cut the original water lines to pull out the faucet? I’ve tried to remove screws to lift sink too. Just can’t quite get the two toughest ones.

I didn't cut any line and you shouldn't need to either. I believe I used a small pair of vice grips to turn the nuts off the old connections of the old faucet.
Once the nuts were off, I was able to just turn the lines from pointing up to point down.

Thanks. I might just be able to get enough leverage with vise grips.
