Default Young Family Looking For Our First TrailManor

Hello, we are a family of 5 located in North Texas (DFW area) and are very interested in purchasing a used TrailManor. Two beds is a must but open to any length. Looking to spend up to 15K depending on age/condition. 2720QB Preferred but open to other sizes (both larger and smaller) as well - as long as the unit has two beds. Willing to travel for the right unit. Looking forward to (hopefully) joining the TM community very soon!

Just so you know, we have the 2001 2720SD and have slept 5 in it. It's a little annoying to set up at night, but an army cot sets up nicely between the bed and fridge. It does mean if some one at the very front has to use the washroom in the middle of the night, they will have to crawl over 2 people. If you can find a 3326, it may have a fifth bed in a side dinette:

Good luck in your search. We love ours! (we're not selling).

Larry, Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply! Any other advice for family camping in a TM. Also any big maintenance items to keep an eye out for? Going to look at a 2006 3023 on Friday and appreciate any feedback you might have as an owner of an older unit.

The dinette folded down into a bed is VERY narrow. My son had a friend come along one time and he kept falling off the dinette bed because it was so narrow. Itís pretty short too. Just so you know.

Having said that we have slept 6 in our 3326; my son and I on the King bed, my friend and her husband on the fold down couch, one of their kids (15) on the dinette, and their other kid (12) on an air mattress along side the couch.

Default Did you find what you are looking for?

I have a 2005 3023 with the queen at the back and the double at the front and couch bench seats (that the grand kids slept on - ages 11 & 9). I just took it out over the Memorial weekend, and everything was working fine, but with all the work to load and unload, I am going to put it up for sale - I'm getting too old to just take it out once or twice a year for just a week-end at a time and I'm still working full-time.

I'm located in Salt Lake City.

I can give more details if interested.

Yeah, the dinette bed is narrow, but we never fall off. Maybe your son hogs the bed? (kidding).

Still, I would rather have the dinette than the sofa configuration. I understand why many would prefer the sofa too. The dinette table makes playing family games very convenient as two people are facing one another. A 5th person can sit at the table on the end. It just comes down to our personal preference, and you would have to decide for yourselves what configuration you value more.
