Default Winegard Flat Panel Antenna

Has anyone tried this ? If so did it work ?
Our TM has a satellite system on it but don't really want to pay the extra money to convert from one dish to another. Also it is all hooked to the Farenheit DVD radio thing which is worthless. No matter what we do we cxan't get it to work. I would be happy if the flat panel would work well enough to get some news and weather. Thanks for any input

I THINK that the flat panel in the 2007s may be analog. If so, you need to get the digital converter in order for the TV to receive overtheair signals. I believe you can get the digital converter off of the farenhiet website.

We have a converter. Nothing but a white streaked screen.

I have never been able to get any signal from the antenna, even after I added the booster!

I think everyone so far missed the original question.

I do not have any experience specifically with the Winegard Winegard Company FL-5000 FlatWave HDTV Indoor Digital Flat Antenna (which i think Maxine_51334 is asking about).

But having worked in RF(Radio Frequency) communications i do know that the aluminum skin in all of the Trailmanors acts as a Faraday cage which will degrade or block any type RF signal. The bottom line is that in a Trailmanor, any RF reception will be better with an outdoor antenna rather than an indoor antenna.

Just what I was going to say!

As an addendum: I find that 3G/wireless reception within the TM is usually much worse than outside (when there is reception) for the same reason, which is why I got a 3G booster that attaches to the window to bring reception into the TM.

Perhaps if you tried a window mount (assuming you wanted to keep the antenna within the TM) it would improve the signal. However, digital transmissions/antennas tend to be more directional than analog was in the past, so aiming the antenna can become more of an issue, depending on the antenna type and location of the sending towers. You may not have a convenient window pointing in the right direction, depending on your set up conditions.

Don't know if the obvious was missed but just to be sure... Did the antenna "switch" get turned on? Took me a short while to figure out on my first antenna try. It's the button on the cable/ antenna outlet. I thought the button was something else till I figured out it worked as a surge protected fuse or something.
