That idea has a lot of merit, Bruce. Definitely worth investigation. Like you say there seems to be a significant airflow into and through the interior while travelling, evidenced by gritty dust on the counter tops and inside the cabinets and drawers as well.
The dirtiest place is always the rear storage compartment (not the one on the bumper). I don't believe the stuff I put in has near as much residual dirt as the amount that builds up in the bottom of that place.
