Opening 2720

My unit (2720 '07) has become very difficult to open completely (both front and back) enough to latch the 4 corner bars with the pins. I have to push, pull and coerce with great difficulty to get them open far enough to get those latched. What needs to be done?

Are you leveling the trailer completely before you open it? That is an important step to make it open easily.

First join the forum as there is much to learn about your TM. Then search the section on learning how to adjust your torsion bars. Doable if you have a big socket or wrench and are willing to get under your rig.

As mentioned, first make sure things are level. If the ends raise up OK but you can't get the pins to line up to the flip-up corner stabilizer tubes, you probably need to adjust the pocket stops. The process is a little different depending on which style stop you have.

There have been some good threads with pictures. Search "pocket stop". I think that will lead you in the right direction.
