Default Removal of Bike rack hitch

I have an 2004 3023 that has what appears to be a factory installed hitch assembly for a bike rack. I want to remove it but short of dismantling everything I cannot tell if it is welded to the frame or bolted.

My reason- I can get the TM into the garage thanks to the swing hitch but I cannot squeeze across the front to get to the other side of the garage unless I open the garage door. Removing the hitch would give me the needed 4 inches or so. AND I might stop punching holes into the back wall too!

I stopped punching holes in the back wall when I put a mark on the floor where the wheel chock goes, to prevent just that.

But that does not help solve your problem. I do what you do. I push the button and open the garage door. I have 4 inches of clearance between the front of the TM and the door.
