Thanks for the information and photos. Can you explain how you removed the old seals? Also, I work on a cattle ranch and recently had to order new shade covers for a couple of cattle trailers. The material looks just like the seal material and is water proof and uv protected. These are custom made to fit the different trailers so these companies may be a good source of material. Since the widths are much wider than our TM, you would not have to splice the material to get the proper length.
Walt, it really was not as hard as I had expected. First I removed the trim at the top that goes across the bag seal. then removed a just enough screws on each side trim piece so I could get at the corners.

The seal and the foam are held in by a TON of staples I mean there were so many staples it was unreal. Just remove the staples, I used a small screwdriver and a hammer and tapped under the staple to pry out a bit then used linemans pliers to pull them out. I did not do the side seals only the top outer bag seal. Getting back to your shade covers the wider length would be a plus, I think just chk to see what the weight is per foot of material, I was told 18.5 to 20 oz weight per foot is good material not too heavy and not too thin.
I have more pics , but I need to get another usb cable to download them as my cable failed. hope that helps

Default Bag seal job complete.

Bag seal installed , caulked up and ready to roll. UPDATE: I just got a call from the place where I bought material from. I was told it was not UV treated but he said normal life would be 2-3 yrs in AZ sun. Um .... I think not. Too late now. Glad I have the 303 protectant. every couple months spray some on and wipe. not a big deal.

Got started on replacing ours today. The Foam looks in good shape. Now to get all the caulking off and the skin bent up. Got a late start as I had to finish up the inside hot water heater switch mod.

Awesome, you will be done with that in no time.

My foam looked good too, it was just too compressed for my liking so I did replace it. Are you just doing the top ? or doing the sides as well?

If you are doing the sides please post some pics. I did not want to tackle those yet. In the corner pieces they had carpet padding in mine. I was like WTH.

Lol

My question would be the uv rating

I got like 50" from TM last fall, plus the foam they use. I think delivered it was like $100.

I contacted the supplier myself, I was told that if it had the FR it also had the UV treatment done at the same time. So I am thinking it is good to go.

The place I bought it said it was FR treated but was not sure if UV, he then called me back and said no UV. I found that the material came from value vinyl and they tell me UV treated when FR was done.

I am going to treat it with the 303 UV protectant but I am not too worried about it now.

Just across the top, clean and treat the sides is the plan.
