That might be OK, unless it might be damaged by really hot water (pure hot from the TM water heater is hotter than home "hot water).

What has gone wrong with original? Unless it's cracked, the O-rings should be pretty easy to replace.

Plastic drain that mounts to the kitchen sink bowl is cracked Got a replacement from TrailManor but it is not an exact match.first picture is mine second picture is of a new TrailManor. Also one of the joints in my p trap system is glued so you no longer have universal adjustments. I have mine stored in garage because of HOA. So trying to fix it easily on my next trip out.

Are you sure that 1-1/4 inch is the right size? Traditionally, kitchen fixtures are plumbed with 1-1/2 inch fittings, and bathroom fixtures are plumbed with 1-1/4 inch fittings. The Home Depot ad title says it is a 1-1/4 inch bathroom drain kit. However, the text of the ad goes on to say that it is 1-1/4 inch on one end, and 1-1/2 inch on the other. Is this what you are expecting? Since you are working with a kitchen sink, might you need 1-1/2 inch on both ends?

Can you be a little clearer about what the mismatch is? I guess I'm not seeing it in the picture. Are you referring to the gray fitting on the sink itself? Or something about the pipe?

I'm not a fan of slinky hoses for drains, but as long as the ends fit, and it is long enough to form an actual trap, it should work.

Those ridges will enable grease to accumulate with food items. Too much water will cause the hose part to expand and won't enable proper drainage.

The flexible drain hose has an adaptor to make it either 1 1/4 or 1 1/2.

The mismatch for the drains would occur in how far below the sink they extend. If that is different I would have to cut the black pipe and redo the whole p trap system. The reason for this is because one of the typically adjustable joints is glued permanently.

Default Rotation test

Sienna's pictures were sideways for me. I've tried rotating them, and then attaching them below. Are they upright for anyone? Still rotated for anyone? Does anyone care?

Sienna -

I don't see a trap in either of your photos, so I'm not sure why you are thinking of adding a trap. Perhaps you are just going to straighten out the slinky hose and use it to replace the entire black pipe.

Let me be sure I understand the situation. It seems that in your first picture, the gray plastic drain fixture in your TM has cracked, and presumably leaks. You can unscrew the black pipe from the bottom of the gray piece, and you can remove the gray piece from the sink. All the black pipe is in OK condition. You got a replacement sink fitting from TM - the silver piece in the second photo - but it is shorter than the gray piece that you removed. As a result, the black pipe won't reach the silver piece. You need to bridge that gap. It appears that the gap would be only an inch or two long.

Am I good so far? If so, there may be a couple possibilities for bridging that short gap. I'm thinking that a clamp-on rubber boot would bridge the gap. Or a short cut-to-length PVC drain extender would work. Maybe?

What sink is this? Where’s the water heater? Why is there no P-trap?

Bill you are correct in your assessment. Your second picture with the black rubber coupling is also some thing I am considering. I will have the trailer open next weekend and hopefully can fix it on my last day camping. The actual trap is in front of the water heater behind the left door of the sink cabinet. I plan to buy a bunch of parts from Home Depot. Returning what I don’t use after the trip.
Ideally I install the silver part and screw the pipe on and I am done.
The picture with the silver drain came from TrailManor they sent the picture before they sent the part. I believe in there picture they are using a hepvo trap the white piece on the right of the picture, not the corrugated piece.
One more picture from TrailManor also included.
