Default Recirculating Toilet Not Dumping

Dear Forum,

My wife and I recently purchased a 2004 Trailmanor 3023. We took it on its inagural camping trip and was suprised at how quickly the toilet filled up. When I went to dump it at the campground's dump station I heard a quick flow when I pulled the valve handle and thought it had emptied. Fast forward to the next camping trip, I went to prime the toilet and noticed that it was still showing as full. I put some more water into it to see if the water weight would help it dump when I pulled the handle again, but no luck. I purchased an elbow sprayer to see if flowing water from the dump hose side would perk into the tank and by filling up the dump hose and releasing it help siphon the waste out of the toilet. This did not work either. I have added chemicals to eat the waste and toilet paper, and the pull handle for the knife valve has good resistance when I pull it out to the stop. Has anyone ever had this problem and it so what was your root cause/solution?

Thanks,
Rob & Brenda

The recirculating.toilet typically has an inside gate valve (at the base of the toilet) and an outside gate valve.

Can you confirm that you've opened both when you attempted to dump the toilet?

When you put fresh water into the toilet, and then pull both the inside gate valve under the toilet as well as the outside gate valve under the trailer, does that fresh water come out?

The gauge sometimes gets stuck. It's just a twisted steel bar with a float that rides up it as the waste water level comes up. Give the dial a bit of a whack, or 3, with your hand, and you may find it immediately jumps down to empty.

Default Found a Hidden Gate Valve

Rich,

I looked last night and found the outside gate valve. It was partially hidden behind the graywater gate valve. I plan to attempt to dump everything tonight.

Thanks,

Rob
