Reference to the type of glue to use. When we had some adjustments to our TM March 2010. Ed and Brian told us that they use Gorilla Glue for the TM. Just remember a little goes a long way as it expands about 4 times. I have used Gorilla Glue on many projects with excellent results. Also water is what causes the wood rot, so make sure your TM is well caulked.

A few years back, I bought a used, old TowLite. Just over 1 year ago, the top literally collapsed on one side, when wood rot was finally overcome by gravity. After experiencing this, I gotta say YOU GUYS ARE SCARING THE CRAP OUTTA ME!

I've been searching for answers to my problem, and looks like a few years ago, people were talking about wood rot in the doors. Our 2007 2720SL, purchased a couple of months ago, it at an authorized RV repair place. They have determined that the door has wood rot and recommended purchasing a new door. Fine with us. And here is the problem, TrailManor initially said they could send them a door, but now does not answer their inquiries. J. D. Sanders (the RV place) has no idea if or when the door will be sent.

In further searching through owners forum, I did come across this conversation. Sounds possible to make the repair ourselves? I need some reassurance and perhaps some further instruction on how to proceed.

So frustrating to get this camper and not be able to use it. But need to have the ability to fasten the door closed.

I would also try to give Todd Mozinga a call if you are on the East Coast. You can get him through the TM main switchboard. Otherwise, call the new TM plant and ask for sales.

Todd runs the east coast TM service center. I am sure he can help you get parts or do the repairs at his facility. All depends on where you call home.

I am hopeful that I found a solution. TrailManor has a Facebook page! I sent them a message about the trouble the RV place is having getting response from TrailManor. I asked for help, and I got a response a little while ago. They will call the RV place tomorrow and will send a new door! We are in Florida.
