You will probably want Schedule 40 PVC pipe (the thick-walled white stuff). When you buy the pipe, you can also buy end fittings that glue on (with PVC cement) and accept a screw-in plug. Or a slightly different fitting that accepts a screw-on cap. All of this is readily available at Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.

If you see a plumber's truck driving down the street, you will usually see one of these assemblies mounted on a rack on the roof. That's how they carry lengths of pipe to the job site.

A sewer hose holder can also be made from the square plastic fence posts and post caps that are sold at the DYI stores. I don't have any plans for this. I found a description of one on another RV forum several years ago. Don't remember where.

Default I have the CW tube on mine

I fabbed a frame and attached the CW tube to it, it has worked out great. Here is a link to one of the pictures: http://travel.webshots.com/photo/112...41466656YvsrST

You could use bolts to fab the frame, but I welded it and then used self tapping bolts to hold the frame to the Trailer frame, it has held up quite nicely for going on 6 years now.

Great looking job on that. But someone refresh me on an item......for those of us with the bumper sewer hose holder in the older TMs, what is the advatage of this add-on?? I keep 2 10' lengths of hose in my bumper with no problems, other than being a little messy, which the PVC will become in short order. The bumper storage seems easier to get to when needed, and also probably easier to wash out when needed.

Chap, The main reason s that the bumper has welding "flash" in it, and when I tried using it, the metal would poke a bunch of pin holes in my hose, rendering it useless. I would use the bumper for fishing poles.

Ahhhh, that explains a lot. I have a few small welding slags in mine also, but apparently not as bad as yours, as my sewer hoses seem OK. Thanks for the explaination.

I dropped a piece of carpet cut-off into the tray to prevent the hoses from getting leaks from rubbing the bottom.

Maybe this needs a new thread, but I just took my first trip with the TM. Got to the dump station and could not get the Universal Elbow out of the bumper storage. Didn't play with it too long since there was a line to dump. Ended up releasing the rear shell. Did I miss something? I use the blueline fittings.

What is shown in the picture is actually two pieces - the elbow and the funnel. I separate the two when I put the hose away. The funnel piece has a pretty big apron (just like your blue fitting), but I find that if I can't get it out of the bumper compartment, I just leave it there and stuff the upper part of the fitting into the sewer opening. It tends to jump out, but there is usally a rock or a brick sitting right there, so I weight it down and dump away.

I thought about cutting off some of the apron, but it doesn't seem worth the effort. You could consider the same thing, if it works better for you.
