The road up to Gila Cliff Dwellings has a length limit on the direct road from Silver City. IIRC it is 26 ft for the trailer, looks NM hwy 15. But you can drive around on another highway NM 35 which looks like it's a bit longer. Of course that would be the collapsed length and there was no check point. It was a rather twisty road.

Nope it's 20 feet:

"Take State Highway 15 from Silver City. Travel time is approximately two hours. An alternative route from Silver City goes through the Mimbres Valley. It is less windy, easier to travel and takes about the same amount of time as State Highway 15. However, it is 25 miles longer. Call ahead for winter road conditions. State Highway 15 is a narrow, mountainous, windy road, and is not plowed for snow on weekends or at night. Trailers over 20 feet must take an alternate route on Highway 61/35. " from GORP
