Made frame from bottom of toilet, three sides then laid on floor and measured for side near vanity.

Glued and screwed frame together. Then used eight #8 screws to attach frame to floor.

Top of toilet not including seat should be 20 and 1/8 inches. I will post another picture when done. I will tee into cold water line from hot water heater go to back wall and across wheel well and out vanity. I still need to find reducer from 1 and 1/2 inch vent. I will update. Robert

Default 12 volt Thetford wire

Hi Robert--very nice job on the base you made!

I see in your pics that you have the 12 volt wire from the old toilet still hanging, as I still do too. I finally figured out a use for it but need to pull it back thru the vanity wall. So I went to the fuse panel, found the fuse marked "toilet" and pulled it--nothing, the line was still hot. Pulled every fuse (all of them)--still hot! Looked at my schematic (dated 1996 for my 2006) and there's no mention of a fuse for the toilet. I guess the inline fuse is all there is, and I'll disconnect the batteries before I cut that line. Seems odd to me????

I have since removed the wires, pulled them back to where they tap into other wires and cut them at the junction and taped them up with 8 mil electrical tape. They used those connectors that clamp around supply wire and then a metal piece cuts through the insulation. I hope someone comes up with the name or those connectors. I don't like that kind of connection anyway.

I found a reducer from 1 and 1/2 to 3/4 for the vent. Made a 3/4 pvc run from the vent in the toilet tank throught the bath wall and then behind the bath fan down through the floor. I tried drilling a hole next to the wall behind the tank but there wasn't enough room. After drilling a 1/4 pilot explorer hole found it was to close to a wall reinforce piece.

Thanks Wayne for doing the first one. I didn't have enough nerve. Robert

Default finished toilet finally

Removed outside shower head to allow room for vent line. The hose from the shower was so stiff I never liked to use it anyway. Installed hose plug on hot water and installed valve on cold. 3/8 stub line still needs to be installed on cold water shut off. Ran vent higher than bowl water level so water would back up (if tank got completely full) into the bowl before going on to the ground.

You can see the toilet is almost as high as the stop for the bath wall on vanity.

Installed new wheel on front of trailer as I didn't like pushing the trailer and having a grain of sand stop the rolling of the trailer. I also didn't like using a big pair of channel locks to turn the wheel as the caster didn't work well with a plastic wheel. One more thing was the lack of a brake on the wheel. This wheel works well.

Made a change to spelling to bowl from bowel. Took me a few seconds to catch the mistake, it was pretty funny.

Default Took new toilet for test drive, came back smellin' li

I decided it was time to do a little camping to test out the new toilet and a few other improvements. I first stopped at the excellent TM dealer in Colorado Springs, as I had been talking to them about changing the toilet. They took pics. We looked at a 3124 to see if the Sealand would fit. It seemed like it had less wheel well intrusion than Roberts 2720sl, and the dealer said that was all the variation there was in the TM models. So our conclusion was that the Sealand toilet would fit all models. They showed me a Sport model with a really neat cassette toilet built-in. It had a side door on the outside--I liked it a lot! Waste is sealed and it uses fresh water for flush.

They also showed me the very first TM that they had adapted to have a full height sink and folding faucet. They sent the idea on to the factory, and it's now a standard feature, as someone else on the forum reported. Wish I had that as I'm 6'1".

The pics I attached show where I camped (for 3 days) next to an old wooden bridge that was closed to traffic.

Pic 2 shows felt bumpers that keep the toilet lid from banging the wall.

Pic 3 shows that I removed the head bumping header from over the bathroom door opening. When I first bought my TM I noticed that everybody over 5'7" hit their head the first time they went in the bathroom. Then on several camping trips I tested not latching the top latch, and observed that nothing bad happened. So then I cut it off, no problems, and one less latch to latch.

Pic 4 shows the toilet after the trip smellin' like...
