Tossing the Wardrobe?

We're seriously considering removing the wardrobe. We don't hang our clothes, we just pack them in two duffel bags which we put in the wardrobe. We're thinking it would be easier to just put the duffel bags on the counter instead of having to pull them out of the wardrobe every time. I do see that we will have to lengthen the privacy curtain for the rear bed.

Am I missing any other negative consequences of removing the wardrobe? If so, I'd really appreciate hearing about it.
