Water heater size
I have a 1997 2720. Does anyone know what size water heater I most likely
have? I cant find a serial number or part number anywhere.

Bill has a great tutorial about the water heater located at the link below. It may help you. It has pics and model numbers, so you can see if yours matches the one he is demonstrating in the word or pdf file.

Its more likely a 6 gallon, but it could be a 3. I don't think many TMs were delivered with 3 gallon HWs.

Obviously a model number would help, and I'm surprised one isn't visible if you go outside the TM and remove the cover over the water heater. But you could also approach it this way. Look under the kitchen sink. In current TMs, the water heater looks like a small barrel covered in white foam. Working from memory - help is solicited from anyone whose TM is open - the barrel is 14-16 inches long and 12 inches in diameter. It has a capacity of 6 gallons.
As ng2951 points out, the other possibility is 3 gallon capacity, which should be substantially smaller.
Hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure ours is only 3 gallons. We have a 1997 model also.

Drain the water from the system into a bucket and measure it.
