I've been reading about lifting the trailer off the tires when it's not being used, what is the proper way to do it without damaging the frame?

We have never lifted our RV's off the tires when not in use. Back in the days of bias tires that may have had some value but I don't think radials care.
But if you want to lift it off then use proper jacking procedures and block the frame. Do not put your jack under the axle.

I lower the tongue, which raises the rear. Then lower the rear scissor jacks. Then raise the tongue, which raises the front. Then lower the front scissor jacks. This will allow the wheels to be slightly off the ground. Since the TM is not on the wheels, it is unlikely to roll! But I use the wheel chocks anyhow. I have no idea if this is necessary, but our TM sits for several months at a time so I figure it won't hurt.

You can also use screw type jack stands under the 4 corners of the frame. You do not have to get wheels off ground, just get most of the weight off the wheels.

To raise your trailer off the ground and keep it there in order to pull both wheels for a trip to the tire shop for balancing and if possible,having steel valve stems installed? Use four corner scissor jacks and electric tongue jack? or maybe portable "Car jack stands" on the corners? Thanks,
