Default Toilet replacement

I am ready to put my money down and buy a used Trailmanor. With that said I also plan on replacing stock toilet with something like the Dometic 711.
Not finding anything on line can one still get a toilet like this?
Second question, is it vented and if not is it safe?
Thanks

I was also going to replace the Tedford. I looked everywhere and called a lot of places, including the one members had said carried the SeaLand. It turns out this model is discontinued. It does not seem that anyone has any stock. The only place that had any was TM. I bought one from them. They only have Bone. I even called SeaLand, they said the replacement toilet does not come with a center bottom drain as an option. A couple of the vendors I called said they had looked at the new model and based on how it is molded there is no way to retro fit these for a bottom drain.

Not sure how long TM will sell their stock since they are now looking for a new toilet as well.

You can still get the SeaLand 711 M-28 for the boats, and have a bottom drain spun into the tank. Or you can build your own Poor Man’s SeaLand, usually for less than half the price of the Dometic and get a better actual toilet.

In all my calling around, ARDEMCO, was the only company that said they could get the Marine tank. It was in Beige only. He told me SeaLand only had a very limited supply. He has ordered 2 just to have in stock. With cutting the hole and spin welding it was a little over $700 just for the tank. So maybe the poor man's SeaLand Is the better option.

That’s less than I payed for a Dometic SeaLand setup ~5 years ago from Scamp.

Default Who has recently went with the Poor man Sealand install?

It is looking like this really the only option unless you want to spend big money installing a black tank. I have found the tank but which toilet to mount to it?

How are you with working with fiberglass? You could build your own custom tank, in place. That's what I did and I ended up with a 13.5G tank. I installed a normal RV toilet on top of the tank.

Default Fiberglass tank

Oustanding, so you vented out the side and water from the sink. Very clean, I like that you can cut drain hole right over whole in floor. Never worked with fiberglass is there other alternatives?

F/G is easy IF the person knows what he/she is doing. This isn't the time/place to practice. It VERY messy and there isn't much room to work in there.

An option might be to find a fiberglass fabricator and provide him with a drawing of exactly what you want, including sloped bottom and drain hole. The fabricator could build a drop in tank, ready for an RV toilet to be installed. It would be costly but if you can find enough people that want the same tank, it could be done. The hardest work would be in a mold. Once the mold is made, duplicates are easy. If you could find 20 TM owners that are willing to pay around $500 per tank, you may find a fabricator that is interested. There is actually a market for hundreds of those tanks, I believe.

That Sealand toilet was about $800 each and a lot of TM owners bought them. They only held 9G and the toilet itself is not the best. My F/G fabrication holds 13.5G and a $200 standard RV toilet fit perfectly.

Your finished unit looks great. would you be willing to share measurements of the box and list of other parts you used. I am not sure if all models of TM have the same measurements between bathtub and sink cabinet. If they are all the same I could get a head start on this project. I am not sure which model I am going to wind up with.
