propane tank cover
Would like to know where to purchase cover for our propane tanks.
Our tanks lay down, within the tounge frame. This is a 2007 , 2720 SL.
Any help you can give us we would appreciate.

I have never understood the purpose of propane covers, other than to make them look cute.

Horizontal tanks, being closer to the road, rust pretty quickly. Perhaps a cover would help that situation, although a cover would have to cover the underside of the tank as well as the uppers. However, I have never seen covers for tanks that are carried horizontally, nestled down in the frame.

Thanks to those of you who answered, guess we will have to keep eyes and ears open. We think that a cover would herlp keep the dirt and grit out of the regulaters

Fabricating a cover for the regulator ought to be easy, since the regulator stands up on a stalk. Sounds to me like a waterproof bag pulled down over the reguator, with a drawstring to close it, would do the trick. Anyway, much easier than a cover for the tanks.

propane tank covers
We bought a heavy vinel cover on-line from Dyer RV. It was inexpensive and fit the twin bottles fine. It has a hard wood insert in the top to make vinel hang right and elastic around the bottom. When it gets dirty it cleans well.
We purchased it because I had read somewhere is was a good idea to keep road dirt , water, and other stuff away from the tank connections to keep them from rusting and clogging. They do look nice too! IMO.

2720 SL Propane Tank Cover $4.00
I have finnaly found a cover for my horizontal tanks. My concern is damage to the gages etc from stones kicked up by the TV. I bought a 28QT Sterilite brand plastic box at Walmart for under $4. It has to be flexed a little to get it on. Once on it fits like a glove. After i took the pics I added 2 small bungie cords across the beam and top edge for stability.

I bought the same plastic box and discovered there was no way to get it to fit over the valves/gauges on the horizontal tanks. Then, I noticed that you have a swing-away hitch on your TrailManor; I do not - plus, the bolts for my weight-distributing hitch get in the way. Maybe, someone else has solved this problem for me, by finding another way to cover those tanks. I'm wondering if a full-size, two tank vinyl cover might work (would also protect the bottom of the tanks).

Interesting idea, but how do you check the guages? Someone makes an alarm which goes inside the TM and blinks a light when the tanks switch. This might help. You could do a search on this site for info.
