Default Non working 12 volt "circuit"

Greetings from Texas,
Well we did it. We now are owned by a 1997 2720SL. We are in the phase of checking out "every-thing". Getting a used unit we expected to have to maek a few adjustments.
The inside front sude lights and the center over head light do not work. I have checked all of the bulbs in a workign socket. Is is likely that all 3 switches are bad, or are these 3 lights on a single circuit that I can some how access to correct the "open" circuit?
Like everyone, I hate electrical "gremlins". I hope the catch this one and correct it soon.

Obviously suggestions are welcomed.

The front side lights you refer to are probably the ones at either end of the overhead bookcase above the couch. There is a hidden "convenience" switch for these, and it trips up a lot of people. Look in the overhead center vent. In the aft end of the opening you will see a round black knob. Give it a turn.

As for the center overhead light. I think the one you are referring to is mounted on the ceiling of the rear shell. All of the power to the rear half of the trailer is shut off when you fold down the bathroom walls - this is an extra safety thing. As soon as you stand up the walls of the bathroom, you should hear a "beep" as power is applied to the gas detector (at the floor near the kitchen sink), and the overhead lights should work.

Let us know if these hints are helpful.

Welcome to the forum and to the TM family!

Check the ceiling vent (the one without the power fan) and look for a black knob sticking out of the inside of the opening (frame). Turn the knob (clockwise?) and it should activate the circuit you describe. Then check the front shell lights to see if they will go on.

Thanks Guys, I found the little black swithch. All 3 lights work!! What a relief!
I love having my Unit here garage pad so I culd run out and turn the switch. WOW, what a quick resolution. Now for my license plate, tail light problem.

And I don't even have the trailer hitch on our car yet.
