Unsubscribe from Yahoo Groups

Several people have asked this in e-mails. I hope they are looking here too. This should answer the question about how to unsubscribe. It worked for me.


How do I leave a group or unsubscribe?
On the Web:

1. Sign in to Yahoo! Groups and go to the My Groups page.
2. Click on the Edit My Groups link at the top of the page.
3. Look for the group you wish to leave, and check the corresponding box on the right side of the page.
4. Click Save Changes at the bottom or top of the page.

The group will no longer be listed on the My Groups page, and you will no longer receive messages.

That's good to know, Ed. Now, how do I "unsubscribe" from cell phone text-messaging spam that comes from Yahoo? It's not spam from a third party - it originates from Yahoo as a "free news service", and I can't find anyone at Yahoo (or my cell phone supplier) who knows how to turn it off. I really dislike those guys.
