Default Door Coming Open

Anyone else have the problem of the door opening if trailer is not leveled and using the stabilizer jacks? We just took a trip and this happened on several occasions. We stopped halfway through the long drive at a truck stop, opened the trailer to eat lunch. The problem I found is that if the trailer is not level and stabilizers down, my door will not stay closed. For just a quick stop, to eat and that is it, I don't have the time to disconnect from tow vehicle, level, etc. Is this just something out of whack with my trailer or does anyone else have this problem.

Thanks,
Chris

You might want to read through this thread, I haven't had time to read it thoroughly.

This is something I wanted to research as our door's gap (top against bottom half) changes depending on whether it's open or closed, and also upon the level of the site. Someone else mentioned (I think, so many posts, dont have a photographic memory) a while back that they took their TM to a dealer and found that the door was misaligned, and they fixed it for them

I did a search on "door alignment", there were more hits but I'll have to check them out later.

Follow this link to the original door alignment post. There is a photo sequence of exactly how to make adjustments. Assumes the trailer is level, jacks are down and spring clips are properly engaged. Go here, then scroll up to the thread originating post:
