I would pull the vents and wood. Clean off the old and re-caulk.

Also take a good hard look at the center seam on the roof. I had a leak in the vents, turned out to be water getting into that center seam.

We also had a center seam leak leading to dripping from the curbside light fixture over the couch (we have a slide). We used silicone to seal the entire seam after pulling off the seam cover and cleaning the area. We've had several hard rains since then and no more leaking.

We chose the silicone after reading a discussion of sealant options here
http://www.trailmanorowners.com/foru...ead.php?t=9459
as well as discussions on other RV sites. There could be better options than silicone, I'm not an expert in this area.

Good luck!

if the boards are wood, replace them with pvc boards. I use a natural curing caulk. most big box stores sell some type acid or base curing caulk because DIY'er want a fast cure time.

You can also glue the ends together with the standard pvc tubing glue, same type used for sprinkler system tubing.
