Default Air Conditioner drain?

Just purchased a 2005 2720sl and when we run the ac the water drains across the roof and down the side onto ground. Is there a drain hose or is this how it works?

How it works. Some have made drains, sometimes I direct the flow by leveling a bit to one side . Doesn't take much.

Mine does the same. I level just a little low on the street side so it runs down that side if I am going to use the AC. Which is only when parked at home as I always dry camp so far.
