Default Help, Rocky Mountain Ray

Do I need to remove paint from TM roof prior to glueing on aluminum squares using Loctite Depend 330?

Thanks for your help.

I don't think Ray checks in here much anymore, but maybe he will see it ... If you're in a hurry, though, use the other method.

Bill:

I did register with the Tundra owners forum and just doing so gave me the "gas tank Heebie-Jeebies. I had no idea how to reach RMR, so posted new question.

Thanks for your help.

Default Don't remove paint

You don't need to remove the finish/paint to apply the adhesive. Mine is in perfect shape after four years. Just make sure it's clean.

Good luck with the installation. Ray

I mounted my panel using Loctite Depend, same as RMR and did NOT remove the paint. Just made sure the surface was clean. Holding fine after 18 months.
