Default Foam on door ?

DH took the foam piece that is on the top door off. I didn't think he should have done that. I think it is to seal the doors when the TM is folded down. He doesnt think so.
Can anyone tell me what the purpose of it actually is ? I still have it and can reattatch it ( hopefully)

I am not at our trailer, but I don't recall having any foam at the top of the door. If you are not the first owner of the trailer, perhaps a previous owner added foam tape to seal a gap? If that is true, it would be a personal preference for it to be there or not.

You are correct, it seals the gap between the front and back upper shells when the TM is folded. Without it the inner wall and upper door on the front shell will collect dirt while traveling.

Open the upper door before lifting the shells when setting the TM up and close it after the shells are down when packing the TM. This will prevent the curved rub marks on the rear shell.
