Default Door Hasp Top Section Problems

I am looking for a solution for the Door Hasp coming undone when driving down the road. Using a bungee cord is not a solution.

Thoughts?

Thanks

I would assume that you have already tried tightening the screw. Have you tried replacing it with either a slightly longer or larger diameter one? If that doesn't do it, maybe try putting a small piece of Velcro tape where the latch turns onto the door.

I got a piece of nylon from TM identical to the piece that holds the 2 halves of the door together when setup (at least on my older TM) and used it to replace what the smaller plastic hasp the factory installed. Has worked perfectly for years. Any larger-sized piece of nylon bar stock will do.

Default Door Hasp Fix

We replaced ours with a "fatter" one from our local RV shop (Three Way Campers). Works great with no opening of door.
