Entry Door Storage Rack

I've always liked the little angled rack on the TM door. Good use of an area that is needed in our campers. It always seemed a little undersized though, so I decided to make a new rack based on the original idea. I took some measurements to decide on the best layout to maximize the usefulness and then went to work.
I used some yellow pine, plywood and formica laminate to make the unit. The laminate is leftover from some work I did on one of my rental,properties and blends in well with the TM color scheme. The pine, I warnished with a tinted polyurethane product to give it a little contrast. The rack is fastened from below, thru the door bottom and up top using the angles from the original rack. I think that we'll fine it more useful than the original.

Nice work. I took the side panels off of my storage bin and made new ones that were an inch wider. I can now fit a small folding stool and a small rug in it.
Maybe I should add another one to hold shoes....??

I was thinking of exactly that! I'd love to put a shoe rack on the inside of that door.
